Overview of Shift Types
HealthTap Prime certified doctors have the option of signing up for 3 different types of shifts or, for ultimate flexibility, conducting Primary Care Virtual Consults on an Ad Hoc basis.
- Committed Shifts - you guarantee your availability to take consults for the duration of the 4-hour shift, and in exchange, you're eligible for a guaranteed minimum payment of $100 per Committed shift. Commit shift doctors are routed patients before Stand By or Try Me doctors.
- Standby Shifts - you're on-call to cover Commit doctors in the event of a shift cancellation or high patient demand. Once notified by HealthTap, you should sign-in to your shift within 30 minutes of notice. You should expect to see patients for the duration of the 4-hour shift. Stand By doctors are routed patients before Try Me doctors.
- Try Me Shifts - you accept consults during this shift without guaranteeing your availability. You'll be paid per consult and routed any overflow patients that can't be seen by a Commit or Stand By doctor.
- Ad hoc Shifts - you don't have to sign up for shifts and have the ultimate flexibility to check in or check out of being "Available" for consults in the queue. All other shift types will be routed consults before Ad Hoc doctors.
