How to remove the HealthTap video plugin (Windows computers)

This guide helps you uninstall the HealthTap Video Plugin on a Windows computer so you can install an updated version of the plugin to do virtual consults on HealthTap Prime and Concierge.

 

Please note: if you are prompted to re-download the HealthTap Video Plugin on your Windows computer and try to install the new version without uninstalling the old version, you may encounter the following error message:

 

Please follow the instructions below to uninstall the HealthTap Video Plugin on Windows 10, Windows 8 or Windows 7.

 

Windows 10

 

Step 1: Select  your search button next to the windows icon

Step 2: Type “Control Panel” in the search box

Step 3: Click Control Panel in the options list

 

Step 4: Select "Uninstall a program" from the "Programs" section of the Control Panel menu

Steps 5 & 6: Find and select the "HealthTap Virtual Consults Plugin" from the program files; then select "Uninstall"



Step 7: Confirm that you would like to uninstall the plugin by selecting the "Yes" button.



Step 8: You may see a popup notification with the following question: “Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes this computer?” To proceed, please select the "Yes" button in response.



Step 9: You should see the progress bar for the removal of the HealthTap Virtual Consults Plugin, or you may be prompted to take any additional necessary steps (such as to close any open programs like Google Chrome that may need to be closed for the full removal of the plugin). After this step, the plugin should have been uninstalled.



Step 10: Return to HealthTap to download and install the updated version of the HealthTap Video Consults Plugin, or you may select here (http://www.healthtap.com/feelGood/installers/HealthTap_Virtual_Consults_win32_1.3.6.msi) to download the plugin installation file (run the installation after the download is complete to install the plugin).



Windows 8

 

Step 1: Select your "Start" button.

Step 2: Select the search icon (magnifying glass) in the top-right corner of your Start page.



Steps 3 & 4: Enter "Control Panel" into the search box and select the "Control Panel" option from the search results.



Step 5: Select "Uninstall a program" from the "Programs" section of the Control Panel menu.



Steps 6, 7, & 8: Find and select the "HealthTap Virtual Consults Plugin" from the program files; then select "Uninstall" and confirm that you would like to uninstall the plugin by selecting the "Yes" button.

Windows 7

 

Steps 1 & 2: Select your "Start" menu button and choose "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu.



Step 3: Select "Uninstall a program" from the "Programs" section of the Control Panel menu.



Steps 4, 5, & 6: Find and select the "HealthTap Virtual Consults Plugin" from the program files; then select "Uninstall" and confirm that you would like to uninstall the plugin by selecting the "Yes" button.
